Statements of qualifications due November 6, 2026, at 3 p.m.
The Town of Gauley Bridge invites qualified professional firms and multidisciplinary consultant teams to respond to a Request for Proposals for the Gauley River Region Multimodal Trail System Planning Project.
Supported by a $100,000 Appalachian Regional Commission POWER Initiative award, the project will develop a comprehensive regional trail plan connecting Gauley Bridge and Ansted and coordinating with the region’s trails, rivers, tourism destinations, and community assets.

Work will include field assessments, GIS mapping, route alternatives, conceptual designs, property and right-of-way analysis, environmental and permitting review, preliminary cost estimates, and recommendations for phased implementation. Public participation and coordination with community partners will help shape the final plan.
The Town has budgeted $59,000 for the planning consultant contract, with the final plan scheduled for completion by April 30, 2027.
Selection will be based on qualifications. Respondents must not include pricing, fees, or cost proposals with their statements of qualifications.
